What do you “cheap out” on as a mom?
I completely cheap out on buying bottled water at the movies. I’d rather splurge
on movie tickets for 8 kids and sneak in my own water than spend $5 per water bottle. I can’t help it. I learned this from my maternal grandmother. My cousin and I were the only kids at Red Sox games that had to eat a sack lunch. I’m not sure what was worse: the smell of tuna salad on my hands all day or the looks we got from all the cool, hot-dog-eating kids.
I tend to cheap out on myself and pay “retail” for other people…WHY is this??!!!! I’ll spend $150 on Legos for my son but cringe at spending that amount on a good pair of jeans for myself!

I do the same thing! I once spent $29.99 on a pair of jeans to justify spending hundreds of dollars on clothes for my kids from a high-end catalog. Those *(&*^(^( jeans fell apart in a matter of months and the kids’ clothes have lasted about two years!

See?! I had a feeling I wasn’t the only one!

I always bring my own snacks to the movies. The only thing we end up buying there are the tickets and popcorn. Never spend the money on drinks or candy at the movies.
