Like the movie Mean Girls, there are mean moms out there who don’t know how to play nice. They thrive on bullying other moms by making them feel inadequate. Although I can be sarcastic, I like to consider myself a nice mom. I can’t stand it when other moms act like brats.
Mean Girls movie clip.
Your story reminds me of my own. I didn’t get to see my llttie guy for about 10 hours after birth, and my husband and to fight to get the nurses to bring him to me since I was still on drugs from my c-section and could not get out of my bed, and my son was on a glucose drip because of low blood sugar and was not supposed to leave the nursery. The nurses took pity and brought him down, and I loved finally getting to hold him after those 10 hours, plus the 1.5 days I had been in the hospital anticipating his arrival.

My daughter was born May 1st. So my first Mothers’ Day came when Grace was only 10 days old. We had lpopee over because my mom was visiting.. I sat on the couch holding my child and looked as though I would attack anyone who came within 3 feet of me. Then about an hour before dinner I left strict instructions that dinner be brought to me in bed and I took my child to my bedroom, and didn’t say goodbye to anyone. That was a Mothers’ Day to write home about.. or maybe just a sign that I was heading for dark waters (otherwise known as sleep deprivation)

This is so true, Jackie! I’m with you, sarcastic, but nice. I cannot stand it when another mother makes me feel bad about my parenting.
